In the Harry Potter series, creatures often masquerade as some being or thing, often hiding in plain sight. The spell “revelio”, shows them for what they are. In the real world, companies and managements emphasize what they wish investors to see, often hiding or disregarding critical environmental, social, and governance information. While we can’t cast this spell, our goal is the same: to see companies for what they are, and identify the less obvious environmental, social, and governance benefits (or risks) that enhance (or destroy) value over time.

Andrea’s security analysis and portfolio management experience extends across industries, market caps, and includes ESG integration. The Revelio strategy that Andrea now manages is based on the integration of sustainability and gender into fundamental security analysis. Previously, both GARP and value approaches were mandates in Andrea’s role as Portfolio Manager with Friess Associates, managers of the Brandywine Funds. Over her more than 16 years there, Andrea was consistently a top performer, investing across sectors and supporting multiple products. Earlier in her career, her skills were sharpened at several firms, including Palisade Capital, Cathay Financial and Gabelli & Company.

Serving as Advocacy Chair on the Board of CFA Society Stamford she regularly organizes and runs events on various topics of interest to CFA members and the local financial community. Previously she was an active member of CFA Society New York’s Sustainable Investing Thought Leadership Group, through which she co-chaired annual conferences.

Andrea earned an MBA in Finance, as well as a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University. Prior to that she graduated cum laude from Vassar College with a BA in Asian Studies. In 2000, she earned the CFA designation.

With the benefit of years of experience evaluating business risk, potential, and portfolios of equities, Andrea became convinced that an active, fundamental, integrated ESG strategy was the best way to capture the potential of both ESG investing and fundamental investing.
